Hello,
Today I have played this game for hours it was entertaining. Unfortunately the performance on my computer is not great but that didn`t really bother me. However it turned out that it is not possible for me to get the scroll list in the vulcano because it is impossible to make all the right jumps due to the performance issue. This is really a shame because I am unable to finish the game after spending so many hours. Ofcourse I already use the "potato graphics" setting.
Is it possible to bring out another update with a good performance improvement? Like with completely turned off shadows for example.
I am happy to hear that you like the game! I optimized the game a bit more mostly on the CPU side, but also GPU. I got a 50% increase in performance on my PC and hopefully it's going to be better on your end too.
I also added an option to disable the shadows completely.
If you're still having performance issues try using the retro filter as that also increases performance by a lot.
Also if it's not too much trouble could you tell me your computers hardware specifications and the average framerate you're getting? That way I would have an idea of how much optimization I should aim for in the future.
Hopefully you can finish the game with these changes! To update just download the 1.5 version and replace the old files with the new ones.
Wow you are amazing! To be honest I did not expect to get a reply, especially not a fast reply like this with the update I have asked for. If I was expecting a reply it was more something like "no sorry it is not possible to optimize this game".
But the game runs smooth now! Even with turned on shadows. It took me now something like 15 minutes to get the scroll list in the vulcano and I was able to finish the game.
Here is the "proof". :)
As you can see the option "potato graphics" was still on. But after finishing the game I went back to the vulcano without that option on and it still runs smooth after that now.

please fix the pumpkins omg. it took me so long to even get 10. If you use the powder you should be guarantied to get a pumpkin. the game was so fun just the pumpkins made me want to cry.
Sorry for the late reply! You are now always guaranteed to get at least 1 pumpkin back, with a 30% chance to get an additional one, or you can use the powder to also get one more.

if you do the maze to the frog if you get to the frog behind him there is a bench if you go behind it you get stuck so i couldnt get back

thank you so much I did know that you could use a teleport button but it is a bit annoying that i had to do the maze again to break the glass

I am softlocked, i dont have water and i cant sleep because i have too many energy, but i cant spent that energy on anything.
Hello! Your energy goes down when you're walking or running. There's also a Teleport Home button in the settings menu which takes half of your max energy if you want to use that. The energy amount required to sleep is pretty high so just walking for a bit should work. As for the water, there's a chance of rain each day and you can get more water as you progress in the game. Hope this helps!

I played it because of the title Umami. I managed to find the scrolls, and found the three endings!
It was a lot of fun earning money through farming and opening up various elements. Pumpkin cultivation was terribly difficult because sometimes I got 0 pumpkins even when I harvested, sometimes I got 0 pumpkins even when I sprinkled 8000 gold coins of powder, and sometimes the rabbit ate about 10 pumpkins I planted when I slept, but I was able to successfully collect them and feel a sense of accomplishment!

Really, really good game. I like that there are multiple ways the game can end. You really thought out the whole story and concept of the game very well. The game is special and funny, I can't believe that you made and designed everything by yourself, wow! :)
